Rubaga\nSouth Member of Parliament, Kato Lubwama has revealed the reason why he doesn’t\nwant to speak English and negative attitude towards the language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid there is nothing he has ever got out of speaking English in his entire\nlife and that justifies his negativity towards the language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nurged the public not to complain if he can’t speak English fluently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The\nmost important thing is that I don’t like English, I don’t want to speak\nEnglish; for what? I have never got anything out of speaking English, it has\nnever brought even food on my table,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nmade the remarks during NBS Ku Katabe on Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lubwama\nsaid he does not want to speak English at all though he knows the language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid he was voted as the MP Rubaga South not because of speaking English noting\nthat there are many people who are not educated and what they want is service\ndelivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I\nam educated but the problem is that people have failed to understand, I studied\nmusic, film,” he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nadded: “All these years while acting on different stages, I used Luganda, maybe\nto help some people to understand my work, we used subtitles in English.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid after reaching China he continued hating English because they speak their\nown language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“English\nis a good language, I don’t want to condemn it but we shouldn’t be slaves of\nspeaking it, let’s love our language,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nalso assured his supporters that he is coming back come 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I\nhave already won the 2021 elections because I have done a lot for my people and\nthey love me naturally,\u201d he said<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
