Betty Musuya has encouraged women\nespecially in Wakiso district to join the force. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\nmade the remarks during the UPDF recruitment process in Wakiso district where\nturn up was much higher than the wanted numbers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\nsighted some of the changes and favouring policies that protect and promote the\ncarrier of women in the force. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\nurged ladies from different parts of the country to join the force because it is\nlike any other profession which respects their rights and is gender sensitive\nwhile making decisions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\nfurther said females in the force have high chances to progress which is\nalready dictated by professionalisation process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\nnoted that the directorate handles all the female related issues which makes\nthem feel comfortable within the force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As\nyou can see, gender balance has been catered for, so there should not be any\ncause of alarm, we are waiting for you to add on the contribution as women\ntowards the security of our country and that of Africa and the world in\ngeneral,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due\nto the high turnup, UPDF recruitment team got an opportunity to take the best\ncandidates mostly with Science related fields with high academic scores.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The UPDF deputy director of women affairs Lt Col.
