The leader of People power movement also Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine has been granted permission and\u00a0 clearence\u00a0 by the Electoral Commission to continue with his intention\u00a0 of carrying\u00a0 out\u00a0 nationwide consultations\u00a0 in preparation for 2021 elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Few months ago Bobi wine came out and declared his intention to challenge president Museveni in the forth coming elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This very month, Bobi Wine officially wrote to the Electoral Commission informing them about\u00a0his intention to carry his consultations across the country as per the constitution.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jotham Taremwa Electoral Commission spokesperson noted\u00a0 that Bobi wine is free to go on with his nationwide consultations as long as he follows the law.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe is free to carry out his consultations as long as they don\u2019t turn into political rallies,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He however warned\u00a0 the politician to carryout his consultations within the law and avoid all things which can cause turmoil in the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also cautioned him against distributing any campaign material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taremwa also advised Bobi Wine to first seek permission from the police and local council leaders for any area he wants to carry out the consultations.
