Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, the Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom has ordered for the registration of members belonged to a particular clan as it used to be during the period of our ancestors.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Kabaka made the remarks while speaking at a meeting with clan leaders at Bulange Mengo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He urged all the clan leaders to revive the norm of registering all its members right from the family level so that the kingdom is well acquainted with the total population its people for easy planning.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He noted that\u00a0the methodology that will be applied in the registration of all the members should be done with a lot of care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the process should be done with a lot of keenness\u00a0to avoid violation of\u00a0 \u00a0the cultural norms and values. He urged the clan leaders to refrain from using modern technologies during the process.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen carrying out the registration, you should take extra care to ensure this is done in accordance with our norms and customs,\u201d Kabaka said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kabaka said as the kingdom\u00a0 is on a mission to transform Buganda into a much better society. He also told clan leaders that the registration will also help members avoid\u00a0 intra-clan marriages because it will help members to know each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He advised the leaders to always organize meetings to brainstorm income generating programmes that will benefit the kingdom and it’s people. He also told the clan leaders to ask for all help from all the prominent personalities in their respective clans.
