Singer\nMoses Ssali commonly known as Bebe cool has urged politicians and all the\nfamous artists to use their names to help but not to mislead thousands of\nUgandans who are desperately in need of help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid his main focus is to help out Ugandans not giving them fake promises like\nsome politicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nhowever said he will continue talking about things which are not going well in the\ncountry as a senior citizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\nam not a politician, I am a musician and a Ugandan who is responsible when i\ntalk about politics, it means I am a concerned about my country,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid he will not keep quiet and leave ill intended people who want to ruin this\ncountry by tainting its image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis\nis where I raised my children, for me I didn\u2019t grow in America so I grew from here,\nso I can’t keep quite when there is something wrong going on,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\ncontinued that: “The people of Uganda have helped us by supporting our\nmusic, so we need to use our names to help them to make Uganda a better country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nurged all the people who are famous to refrain from all kinds of things which\ncan destabilize the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid most of his time will be spent in fighting tuberculosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last\nweek, Bebe Cool, through his Amber Heart Foundation, a non -profit organization\nreceived a grant of over shs1.4billion ($400,000) to help in the fight against\nTuberculosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According\nto statistics, 80,000 Ugandans die of Tuberculosis annually yet the disease is\ntreatable in all government facilities free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bebe\ncool said his Amber Heart Foundation will use the grant to create awareness and\nmobilization for testing and treatment of TB in different schools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
