Mukono\nMunicipality Member of Parliament, Betty Nambooze has explained the reasons\nwhy Dr. Kizza Besigye\u2019s People\u2019s\nGovernment at the moment is stronger than all the political parties in Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“There\nis no single political institution in Uganda other than FDC that doesn\u2019t\nsurvive because of one big man. FDC can survive without Besigye, other entities\ncan\u2019t live to see another day without one individual,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nambooze\nsaid unlike other political parties, the People\u2019s Government is fully\nstructured right from the local government and that explains her statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPeople\u2019s\nGovernment is fully structured right from the local government. No single\nopposition entity today is strong and well organized as the People\u2019s\nGovernment,\u201d she said in part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nmade the remarks while appearing on NBS Morning Breeze, on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nfurther said that they have also attracted \u2018big\u2019 people from the ruling\nNational Resistance Movement (NRM) yet they have not lost anyone to their\n\u2018enemy\u2019 yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In\na full year, we\u2019ve not had any defection from the People\u2019s Government to the\nside of the enemy, we\u2019ve been joined by very big people from the enemy to the\nPeople\u2019s Government,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nambooze\nsaid that People’s Government and FDC phased their struggle into three different\nparts which they have followed all through the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\nphased our struggle into three parts; Campaign for attitude change among\nUgandans so that they appreciate the problem at hand, organise structures to\nsustain the struggle and Action to demobilize and dismantle the dictatorship. Our mission is to put power back in the hands\nof the people,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nambooze\nsaid that one of their achievements is the fact that the opposition is still intact\nand the struggle to capture power is still going on until Ugandans are released\nfrom what she described as captivity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
