The\nNational Coordinator of Alliance for National Transformation, Gen. Mugisha\nMuntu has said he will not get involved in the signing of a petition to drag\nPresident Yoweri Museveni to the International Criminal Court (ICC) stating\nthat it will not directly lead to a change of the regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAS\nfor the issue of signing the petition to drag President Museveni to ICC, so for\nme as an individual I won’t be putting my signature,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recently,\nthe Opposition under People\u2019s Government threatened to take President Museveni\nand other leaders to the International Criminal Court on the issues of gross\nviolations of human rights, and committing crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muntu\nmade the revelations in Fort Portal during a training of A.N.T coordinators in\nthe Tooro sub region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muntu\nhowever stressed that he won’t stop any of his members from appending their\nsignatures to the FDC petition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“With\nthe effort by people’s Government and FDC in processing signatures for taking\nMuseveni to ICC we have no problem with that even our leaders within the party\nare free to sign it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nalso noted that his party members who don’t want to sign the petition, they\nshould feel free to do whatever they feel like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nurged the leaders of Fort portal to support the party and its ideologies more\nespecially priority should be put in building party structures for a strong\nfoundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEvery\nperson should know what ANT is because when the party is known for what it\nstands for, it means we have capacity to field a candidate in every contestable\nposition.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
