Police\nin Lwengo has arrested five quack doctors, who had in their possession\ngovernment drugs, fake drugs and medical equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nsuspects were nabbed during a joint operation between the police and officials\nunder Allied Health Professionals Council in Lwengo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They\nwere nabbed for selling fake drugs to the public, operating illegally,\nduplicating their academic documents and defrauding Ugandans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials\nunder Allied Health Professionals Council greatly help police in this operation\nand the clinics of the suspects have been closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nofficer in charge of central region Fred Ayesige, said the operations were\ncarried out in the town councils of Kinoni and Kyazanga in Lwengo district\nwhere they found privately owned clinics selling government drugs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid some of the clinics had no license and also very filthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid these fake medical practitioners have been conning people by claiming to\nhave medicine that cures fertility problems, organ enlargement, cures\nimpotence, prevents kidney and liver complications among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nfurther said there are more clinics which operate illegally and vowed to deal\nwith them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
