The\nMinister for Presidency, Esther Mbayo has given out 65 cars to Resident\nDistrict Commissioners (RDCs) from different regions to improve on service\ndelivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nRDCs who received the cars on Thursday constitute 50% of the total number of\nResident District Commissioners currently deployed in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mbayo\ntasked the RDCs to use the cars to promote government programmes and sell the\ngovernment ideology to their respective districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ncars were handed over to them at Kololo ceremonial grounds on Thursday in\nKampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I\ndon\u2019t want a situation to happen like in Bushenyi district where government\ninvested in a fish archery but it has never taken off. I attribute this to poor\nmonitoring by the RDCs,” she said <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nexplained that it is the role of RDCs as representatives of the president and\nthe government to monitor all the government projects in their respective\ndistricts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In\ncase there is any huddles you need to communicate to your superiors so that the\nchallenges that are failing the effective implementation of such projects for a\nremedy,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nsaid whereas government has its primary role of building infrastructure,\nmaintaining peace and stability among others, the citizen ought to work on their\nown towards improving their individual income and livelihood.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
