{"id":12243,"date":"2019-11-18T15:37:23","date_gmt":"2019-11-18T12:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=12243"},"modified":"2019-11-18T15:37:26","modified_gmt":"2019-11-18T12:37:26","slug":"kadaga-lauds-mtn-for-lighting-up-kamuli-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2019\/11\/18\/kadaga-lauds-mtn-for-lighting-up-kamuli-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Kadaga Lauds MTN for lighting up Kamuli schools"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has commended telecom company, MTN Uganda for its continued corporate social responsibility (CSR) drives executed across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While launching the \u2018Light up a village\u2019 initiative by MTN at Kiswa Primary School, Kadaga said that improving lighting in the classrooms would facilitate better grades from students in Kamuli district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am grateful to MTN for their continued cooperation with Busoga region. We also lit up the 200 resettlement homes of&nbsp; people affected by mudslides last year, she said adding that, \u2019today, we are giving solar panels to 30 schools in the hope that future of the young children will be brighter\u2019..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the same day, Kadaga handed over iron sheets to residents of Buyende who were affected by landslides in 2018.
