The list spotlights 100 rising stars who are shaping the future of business, entertainment, sports, politics, science, health and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Time Magazine explains why Bobi wine was nominated says “Ugandan pop star Bobi Wine spent his career singing about social injustice. In 2017, he decided to take things a step further by running for, and winning, a seat in parliament.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The paper also described Bobi Wine\u00a0as one of the leaders who stood up\u00a0amidst all the changes he faced after announcing his intention to run against President Museveni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It adds that Bobi wine’s courageous move to declare his intention and contest against the incumbent president gave a lot hope in the heart of people who are tired of the regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He has set his sights higher, announcing in July that he will take on President Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled for the past 33 years through a combination of deft politics, questionable election practices and constitutional manipulation,” it reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEighty percent of our population is under the age of 35,\u201d Wine says. \u201cThey deserve a leader who works for the future of Uganda, not for himself.\u201d Wine\u2019s growing popularity amounts to peril.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
