Kick off time in Fort portal was nothing short of entertaining as football enthusiasts flocked the Pavilion Bar and Grill parking for the first ever Guinness Night Football extravaganza that took place on Saturday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The neon-themed night saw fans indulge in their passions for football engaging in a cocktail of fun football activities like 5- Aside football, Table Foosball, Human Foosball with the highlight of the night being the local skill challenges of \u201cMirundi\u201d,\u201cKagere\u201d and incredible head games all played in neon themed UV lighting technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The night saw town folk bring out their competitive sides with teams such as \u2018Pavillion\u2019,\u2019 Hits\u2019, \u2018desert\u2019, \u2018team no sleep\u2019, \u2018UPU stars\u2019, \u2018the preacher\u2019s\u2019, team Abasadii, st George A and B among others. With team UPU coming out victor after going head to head with team \u2018Abasaddii\u2019 in an action packed football show down that saw team UPU stars coming out victor with a 5-4v win against their counterparts hence sealing their place in the finals that will take place in Kampala later in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking to journalists during the games UBL\u2019s Cathy Twesigye expressed her excitement about how the games have so far turned out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLike I\u2019ve said before, this is football \u2018the Guinness Way.\u2019 we are bringing the fun and the party to the game. I cannot tell you how proud I am that our fans are coming out and showing that they are made of more, it\u2019s going to be parteh after parteh here after\u201d said Cathy Twesigye, Guinness Brand Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Night featured show stopping performance from the \u2018king herself\u2019 Cindy who jumped on stage with her famous hit song \u201cSelector\u201d but it was her 2009 hit song \u201cAyokyayokya\u201d that got the crowd wild and on their feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was later closed with a riveting performance from Fik Fameica who together with DJ CIZA\u2019s mixes turned the heat up for the revelers who got on their feet dancing the night away to songs like \u201cGwa Bisobola\u201d, \u201cTubikole\u201d, \u201cOmu Bwati\u201d, \u201cBoom Party\u201d his collaboration with Nigeria\u2019s Patoranking among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The series will be traversing the country whilst taking fun and action-packed night experiences coupled with unexpected and fun football activities that will give players and fans a chance to get involved in an extraordinary experience with the games moving to the eastern town of Mbale next month.
