{"id":11781,"date":"2019-10-27T11:55:03","date_gmt":"2019-10-27T08:55:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=11781"},"modified":"2019-10-27T11:57:02","modified_gmt":"2019-10-27T08:57:02","slug":"museveni-goes-to-the-ghetto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2019\/10\/27\/museveni-goes-to-the-ghetto\/","title":{"rendered":"Museveni Goes To The Ghetto"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President\nYoweri Museveni has pledged continued support to the youth that are engaged in\na diversity of development projects in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThrough\nyour SACCOs, the Government will support you especially if you are organized,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The President was yesterday addressing Ghetto Youth Groups who are under their umbrella organization known as NRM Youth Camp at their Kibuye headquarters in Kampala District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He\nhailed the Katwe-based youth in Kampala District for innovations and skills\ndevelopment and highly commended them for propelling the idea that had enabled\nthem to make a vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He,\ntherefore, assured them that the Government will support them in promoting\nfurther innovations and many other novel ideas that are geared to exploit to\nthe fullest extent their abilities in the struggle for national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The President revealed that he started to identify and associate with Ghetto community way back in 1968 as a student leader adding that it is not a new thing for him to be with the Ghetto wananchi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Museveni strongly advised the youth to form groups that share same interests, as SACCOs have all along done, so that their groups can be easily empowered to access government support <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"479\" src=\"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/ghettos.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11783\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/ghettos.jpg 720w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/ghettos-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/ghettos-631x420.jpg 631w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/ghettos-640x426.jpg 640w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/ghettos-681x453.jpg 681w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Yoweri Museveni has pledged continued support to the youth that are engaged in a diversity of development projects in the country. \u201cThrough your SACCOs, the Government will support you especially if you are organized,\u201d he said.
