The\nNational Coordinator of the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT), Maj.\nGen. Mugisha Muntu, has revealed the reason why he decided to leave Forum for\nDemocratic Change (FDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muntu\nnoted that the reason why he left FDC was for the sake of promoting peace,\nTranquillity and avoid friction between him and some members of the FDC who did\nnot like him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nnoted that he has never regretted the decision he made because it has brought\npeace and harmony between the two entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re\nnow at peace. I know for sure that if we had stayed in FDC we would still be\nfighting and there would be paralysis. I have a sense that some leaders in FDC\ndon\u2019t trust us but we shall give them time,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During\na television show, Muntu said ANT don\u2019t have any problem with anybody in the\ncountry and it’s ready to join forces with any opposition political\norganisation with a common goal of causing change in this country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nadded that the party is not in rush to take the mantle from president Museveni\nbecause taking power is a process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
”\nWe don\u2019t panic, we\u2019re not emotional, and we are consistent and persistent. We\nare not bent on redirecting the path of this country politically,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gen\nMuntu said the good relationship between the two political organizations gives\nthe reason for the support given to the FDC candidate in the recently concluded\nHoima District Woman MP by-election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSupporting\nthe FDC candidate in the Hoima election, Alliance for National Transformation\nwas looking at the larger picture. For every seat the opposition takes, we\nstrengthen the population for all those who want change,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nnoted that ANT is a value base political party which appreciates efforts to\nbring change in Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid if the party wins more seats in different parts of the country, this will provide\nan opportunity for the party to build confidence in people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nurged Ugandans to keep on struggling and should never think of giving up\nbecause taking power is a process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muntu\nsaid there is frustration among people in Uganda but there is willingness to\nchange the regime though most of them do not want to participate in causing the\nchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPoliticians\nhave been saying nice things but nothing physical to show for it. People want\nchange but don\u2019t know-how to achieve it. Some are fearful of the uncertainty\nthat comes with the change,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid some people are working overnight to make sure change is delivered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
