The\nIGP has applauded the task teams from the General Crimes Department, Homicide,\nKMP and Kakira Division, after one of the notorious suspects behind the violent\nmurders of women, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On\nthe 24\/09\/2019, the High Court sitting in Wakiso, convicted and sentenced,\nKawesa Ibrahim, to life imprisonment for the crime he committed in 2017, where\nhe raped a 27-year-old female victim, Nakabugo Annet, of Kiteredde village, in\nKakiri and strangled her to death. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This\nis the first out of 4 cases, of women murders, for which he was being held\naccountable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nconvict particularly targeted marginalised and vulnerable women, during lone\nhours, whom he abducted, raped and strangled to death. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nis now pending trial in the murder of Nakachwa Teddy and Nansubuga of Nansana\nDivision, after his DNA samples were cross linked to the two victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nfurther thanked partners under the criminal justice system for their\nexceptional work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case and more\nimportantly, this conviction serves as an irrefutable message to all those\nnotorious criminals and those that aspire to participate in crime, or use it as\na tool to their selfish interests, that eventually, they will be apprehended\nand prosecuted,\u201d reads a statement from Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The convict had ever been sentenced to 10\nyears for the murder of a woman in Matugga and after his release, he again\ncommitted more women murders. Such\ndangerous suspects have no remorse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
