Tumutegyerize\nChris who is married with three kids says he chose to go to Abu Dhabi after he\nrealized that his teaching job could not sustain him, his family and other\ndependants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\nam a secondary school teacher by profession and teaching did not yield much to\nsustain my family,\u201d explains Chris before adding that \u201cI may 2018 I decided to\ngo to Abu Dhabi and seek for green pastures.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\nwent through the right procedure as tabled by Uganda Association of External Recruitment\nAgencies and a job to work in a supermarket was secured through a genuine and\nlicensed Labour exporting firm based in Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn\nMay 15, 2018 I left Uganda for Abu Dhabi and I am still here working well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n On\ngetting to Abu Dhabi, Chris says he was warmly welcomed by his employers and\nthe working conditions are excellent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe\nlife in Abu dhabi is not bad only that you need to get used to the climate\nwhich is different from the one in Uganda,\u201d says Chris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He\nfurther emphasized that; \u201cWith the year I have spent here and with the team\nthat I went with, we have never faced any problem. We are in good condition; we\nwork well and we are loved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Abu\nDhabi Journey Becomes Chris\u2019 Turning Point<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Chris\nsays that ever since he started working in Abu Dhabi, over 70% of his life has positively\nchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEver\nsince I went to Abu Dhabi to work, my life has changed over 70% has positively\nchanged in my life and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\nhave put some businesses with my wife, we now have a retail shop which we\ndidn’t have before I went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe\nbought a plot of land in Nyenje village, Mukono district and we are building a permanent\nresidential house.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chris\nhappily says that everything is changing for the better at home, his kids are\ngoing to good schools and he is able to even support his relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Advice\nTo The Youths<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Chris\u2019\npole advice to the youths is to never give up in life and they should never despise\njobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNever\ngive up on yourself, take any job opportunity that comes your way,\u201d advised\nChris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chris\nalso said that youth should embrace labour Externalization since it\u2019s the best way\nto reduce the unemployment gap that is a bit huge in Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He\nalso encouraged the youth to go to genuine and licensed labour export companies\nthat are registered with their umbrella body, Uganda Association of External\nRecruitment Agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n UAERA\nOn Reducing Unemployment <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To\nreduce unemployment, labour migration has been looked at as one of the best\noptions and indeed this system is making wonders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nGovernment of Uganda, through the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social\nDevelopment put in place opportunities that streamlined access to decent\nemployment opportunities for its nationals abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Decent\nemployment opportunities have been advertised through genuine recruitment\nagencies under the supervision of their umbrella body, Uganda Association of\nExternal Recruitment Agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With\nUganda Association of External Recruitment Agencies in place, protection of\nmigrant workers, observation of their human rights and welfare in accordance\nwith the international labour standards have been observed and this has helped\nmany Ugandans work abroad and remit money home which has improved the lives of\ntheir families and relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Currently,\nUganda has over 140,000 Ugandans, working in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Over\nUS $ 500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million) is remitted annually by these migrant\nworkers.
