Police\non Sunday arrested events promoters Andrew Mukasa alias Bajjo and Abbey\nMusinguzi also commonly known as Abitex for organising an event that had been\nblocked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nconcert dubbed \u201cKyepukulu\u201d was organised at Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ntwo promoters had received information about the cancelation of their concert\nbut decided to proceed with the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When\nBajjo arrived at the venue before his arrest, he was allowed the entry to the\nvenue however, he was immediately arrested and bundled into police vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A\nfew minutes later his friend Abitex also arrived at the venue and told the\nmedia that police are known for their actions of blocking concerts and that is\nwhat he expects from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs\nyou know police is known for causing chaos and blocking concerts. We are ready\nto attend the event but the police are here, I have just arrived and I was\ninformed that Bajjo is inside the stadium,\u201d he noted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As\nhe was still addressing the journalists police came and took him way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ndeputy Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed\nthat the two promoters have been held at Jinja Road police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nnoted that the duo was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nfurther noted that the two promoters have failed to meet security requirements\nand stubbornly insisted that they would host the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTheir\nconcert they had scheduled at stadium was not going to be there because of some\nissues they had not fulfilled,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This\nis not the first-time police has blocked an event organized by the two promoters.\nIn April, Bobi Wine\u2019s Kyarenga concert scheduled to be held in Busabala was\nblocked among many concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
