I will assist President Museveni in promoting wealth creation – NRM’s Adongo

1 Mins read

Janet Adongo Rose Elau, the NRM’s candidate for Dokolo woman MP, has expressed her commitment to pursue the government’s pledges and commitments to the local population.

She campaigned in Bata town council, Okwalongwen, and Bata sub-counties.

Adongo highlighted the need to address the poor road infrastructure that hinders the transportation of agricultural products to markets. She pledged to remind the government about these issues.

Furthermore, Adongo assured voters that if elected to parliament, she would expedite the implementation of wealth creation programs such as the Parish Development Model and Emyooga. Her goal is to improve household incomes among families and ensure that these programs benefit the intended beneficiaries, unlike the opposition who aim to hinder their progress.

Adongo emphasized the importance of providing information to the communities, as many people have been missing out on government funds due to a lack of awareness. She also reiterated her objective of advocating for the elevation of Dokolo Health Centre IV to a district General hospital, aiming to enhance healthcare services, particularly for pregnant women.

Regarding clean water, Adongo promised to collaborate with the government to extend clean and safe water access to villages in Bata and Okwalongwen. She assured the people of Dokolo that she would prioritize this issue.

During Adongo’s rallies, Rosemary Seninde, the Director of Mobilisation at NRM, identified three main challenges faced by the locals: lack of electricity, poor road conditions, and inadequate access to safe water in some villages. Seninde expressed confidence that Adongo would address these challenges within a limited timeframe if elected to parliament in the upcoming by-election.

Seninde urged voters to elect Janet Adongo, who has demonstrated her commitment to understanding and addressing the issues in Dokolo, unlike some other candidates who may not grasp the district’s challenges.

Hon. Moses Goli, the Dokolo North legislator, commended the electorates for their warm reception and attentiveness to Adongo’s development-focused message. He expressed his belief that the people would overwhelmingly support the NRM on election day.

Felix Okot Ogong, the Dokolo South MP, also joined Adongo’s campaign trail at the beginning of her 6-day program.

NRM National Chairman and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will visit the area to amplify Adongo’s message of development to the voters of Dokolo district.
