Man Kills His Two-Year-Old Daughter In Cold Blood, Arrested

The territorial police in Wakiso have in custody one SSemaganda Ibrahim for the alleged murder of his 2-year-old, biological daughter, Namaganda Shallon.

On 22.08.2023 at around 7 pm, he picked up his daughter from the grandmother, Walusimbi Dora, a 55-year-old resident of Bulenga B, village Nakabugo parish that he would take her back after a couple of hours .

He took her daughter home and harked her to death from the sitting room, then transferred the body to the bedroom lay it on her bed and covered her with bedsheets.

The victim was undressed and found with deep-cut wounds on the forehead.

The suspect had separated from the victim’s mother Makati Catherine, a 27-year-old female adult, of Muyenje village Lukwanga parish in Wakiso, about a year ago.

After the gruesome murder, the suspect went and handed himself over to the defence secretary detained at Buloba police station.

“It is painful that the two-year-old victim died from the hands of a father, who was supposed to keep her safe,” said Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga.

He added; “It also shows how persons under conditions of stress, and depression were costing the lives of innocent victims.

“We strongly condemn such acts of brutality, where parents, transfer their anger on innocent children. We are going to fast-track this matter through the courts of law and ensure the suspect is punishable.”
