A sorrowful accident that happened on August 4, 2023, at 05:20 AM in Kitigoma village along the Jinja-Kampala route in the Buikwe District, has been reported to Njeru Police Station.
Two automobiles with the license plates UBB 716F (Fuso Fighter) and UAY 077A/UAY 928A (Fuel Tank) were engaged in the collision.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the M/Benz Fuel Tank vehicle (registration Nos. UAY 077A/UAY 928A) travelling towards Jinja collided with the Fuso Fighter (registration No. UBB 716F) driven by an unidentified person as it was travelling from Jinja to Kampala.
The bodies of the Fuso driver and turn man, who perished in the collision, are being taken from the truck.
The gasoline tank driver and the turn guy, who were in severe condition, have been sent to Jinja Hospital for medical attention.
While investigations are being made, both automobiles are still on the scene, waiting to be towed.
