The Director Counter Terrorism, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Byakagaba Abas has today presided over a pipping ceremony of gazetted officers at the Directorate of Counter Terrorism headquarters in Naguru.
In his address, the director urged the newly promoted officers to be disciplined, and exemplary work hard. He said the new rank comes with added responsibility and they should be ready to embrace them.
He also appreciated the officers for being promotable which comes with discipline.
The officers pipped were from the ranks of Assistant Superintendent of Police to Senior Superintendent of Police.
He also thanked their spouses for supporting the officers in the implementation of their duties.
“Leadership must be able to harness all the capabilities and strength and it comes with responsibilities which you must be in a position to take”. AIGP Byakagaba Abbas added.
He advised them to ensure safety of Ugandans and always work as a team.
