Former Premier and presidential candidate, John Patrick Amama Mbabazi is said to be recovering from an operation he had on the back, according to sources.
A new video posted online, shows the former NRM Secretary General walking with clutches out of Dukes Hotel in London with the help of three individuals.
In the short clip, Amama appears to be writhing in pain as he makes his way out of the hotel. Sources say he recently had an operation on the back and is now recuperating from the same.
The former ‘super minister’ is yet to make a comment about his condition. However, in his most recent tweet, the ex-pm who is known to be tech-savvy, wished President Yoweri Museveni a quick recovery from COVID-19.
“I send my best wishes to my elder brother and comrade in the struggle and President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for a full and speedy recovery from Covid-19. My thoughts are with you, your family and the people of Uganda right now. Get well soon,” Amama tweeted last week.
Amama served as the ninth Prime Minister of Uganda from 24 May 2011 to 19 September 2014. In 2016, he contested against President Yoweri Museveni but lost the bid.
