The body of Sarah Naturinda, a second-year student at Kabale University, has been found by police.
About 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Naturinda’s body was discovered in her rented room in Rwamukundi village, Kirigime ward, Southern division, Kabale Municipality.
Naris Ndanganwa, the deceased’s father, claims that his daughter was last seen by neighbors on Sunday morning during a heated argument with her boyfriend Denis Arinaitwe, a tailor who lives in Nyakahanga village, Kazindiro parish, Bugangari sub-county, and Rukungiri district. Arinaitwe works in Kabale town.
Arinaitwe, who attempted suicide unsuccessfully after killing his lover, police constable Caroline Komuhangi of the Field Force Unit (FFU), at the Kabale police station on Sunday morning due to domestic disputes, is currently fighting for his life at the Kabale Regional Referral Hospital under police surveillance.
Under the condition of anonymity, a detective from the Kabale police station’s homicide unit told our reporter that Arinaitwe wrote a letter to one of his pals instructing him to break into Naturinda’s room and steal all of his belongings.
The body was transported to the mortuary at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital with the assistance of the police, according to Diaz Drake Owoyesigyire, the president of the Kabale University Guild.
Owoyesigyire claims that this should serve as a wake-up call to other students to refrain from engaging in pointless romantic relationships.
At the time this report was filed, the police had not yet issued a statement regarding the occurrence.
