1 Mins read

Campus Bee has launched a free hostel information portal where students can now go and get all information about the various hostels across the numerous campuses across the country.

Over the years, it has always been a hustle for many students to make informed decisions on which hostel would best suit them.

Many also fell victim to different scams where fraudsters conned unknowing freshers of Hostel money with a promise of getting them what they needed.

Campus Bee’s initiative will save many students from such scams and fraudsters as it offers a variety of valuable information for students around the country.

According to Campus Bee’s Team Leader Emmy Omongin, the Hostel’s portal dubbed the ‘Uganda Hostels Information System’ will serve all students from the various campuses with information such as contacts, prices, and whatnot.

“Students will be able to search for hostels, locations, costs and numbers of custodians/hostel management available,” Omongin said.

“We shall avail all hostel details for the hostels around Makerere University, Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Kyambogo, Kampala International University (KIU), Mbarara, and International University of East Africa (IUEA),” he added.

It should also be remembered that Campus Bee won the Social Media Award for the category of Best Blog in the 2016 Social Media Awards.

The site includes a wide variety of information about news happening around universities all over Uganda, internship tips and placements, entertainment gossip, proggie, and now Hostel Information.

It is believed that the Campus Bee Hostel portal will bridge the gap between students and direct access to hostels and their respective custodians.
