BIOCUBAFARMA’s COVID19, Lung Cancer Vaccines On Display At Kampala Pharmaceutical Exhibition

A delegation from BioCubaFarma, the Cuban organization of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries, is in Kampala, Uganda, taking part in the Pharmaceutical exhibition.

The exhibition happening at UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo Kampala, has brought together people in the Pharmaceutical industry together, to display their products.

BIOCUBAFARMA, also manages Cuba’s efforts toward manufacturing medicines, diagnostics and medical equipment and providing high quality life science services to improve people’s health.

It is represented by Mr Amado Leon and Indira Utria of the Finlay Vaccine Institute in Havana, Cuba.

BIOCUBAFARMA whose stellar innovations are well documented and have earned praise over the years, also gained more layers of fame at the height of the COVID19 with the development of high efficacy vaccines; Abdala, Sobrerana 02 and Sobrerana Plus.

Some of the other medical products include; HeberFERON, HeberKinasa, CIMAvax-EGF and CIMAher.

BioCubaFarma serves as a gateway for potential partners and investors interested in accessing the extensive biopharma resources Cuba has to offer.

This website interacted with BIOCUBAFARMA stall at UMA and they were at hand to explain the different medicinal innovations.

On Tuesday, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr Diana Atwine made a stop at their stall during a tour of the exhibition.

She was accompanied by Cuba’s Ambassador to Uganda H.E Tania Xiques Perez, who took her through Cuba’s medical history.

Uganda is one of the countries that nenefit from Cuban medicine scholarships.

Ugandans whobgraduated from Cuba’s prestigious medical institutions have also been visiting the exhibition.
