Maj Gen Abel Kandiho, the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence boss has been replaced by Maj Gen James Birungi.
Maj Gen James Birungi is the former Commander of Uganda’s elite force, the Special Forces command.
Maj Gen Abel Kandiho has been sent to South Sudan.
“I congratulate both Maj.General Abel Kandiho and Maj.General James Birungi on their new appointments. Hongera sana,” tweeted the UPDF Commander, Land Forces, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
