Police at Katwe have kicked off investigation into a suspected murder of a one Magembe Tadeo 48, a truck driver.
Magembe had been reported missing at Katwe Police by his brother Balimutajjo Gerald on 30th last month.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson said they traced phone records, leading to the arrest of two, with whom the phone of the deceased was found.
“The arrested suspects, both fishermen at Ggaba landing site claim that while they were with the driver, now presumed dead, he allegedly jumped off a boat,” he said.
However, the two didn’t report this anywhere raising suspicions that they could have murdered him.
Police said that suspects are currently held at Katwe Police station as investigations go on.
