Lumbuye To Be Brought To Court

The state Minister for Foreign Affairs, Okello Oryem has said that the National Unity Platform (NUP) toxic blogger Fred Lumbuye Kajjubi is some where safe and will be presented and charged in courts of law.

Recently,Oryem revealed that Lumbuye on arrival would be handed over to Ugandan authorities.

However, as the suspect’s whereabouts remain unknown.

The government has since been silent over the matter prompting many questions from Ugandans regarding his whereabouts.

Speaking to NTV Uganda on Tuesday morning, Oryem explained that Lumbuye is alive and called upon Ugandans not to get worried about him.

“The relevant authorities will at the right time bring him before courts of law,” he said.

“The International community will always want us, they will always need us so they can’t put us under pressure. We can never be shaken.”

His words come at a time when the whereabouts of the toxic NUP blogger are unknown with NUP exerting a lot of pressure on government to bring Lumbuye out and be charged if there is any offence he committed.

Oryem added that at a certain time to come, the authorities will take Lumbuye to court where he will be charged with various cases.

Previously, Police said that sofar they have 15 charges to be slapped on Lumbuye.

Turkey based is a popular social media blogger in support of the National Unity Platform.

Before and after the 2021 general elections, he attacked so many high profile institutions and members of society including Buganda Kingdom and its officials, government officials and religious leaders.

Oryem urged Ugandans to focus on looking for survival, not asking about Lumbuye’s whereabouts.

Speaking on the same case recently, Police said that Lumbuye was not in their custody.
