COVID 19 Vaccination Resumes Today

The government of Uganda has announced that covid 19 vaccination will resume today across the country with the priority being given to medical students.

According to the Ministry of Education and sports, the phased opening of schools with start with medical institutions hence the need to prioritise medical students.

The resumption of vaccination exercise comes at a time when government received additional donations of 586,080 doses of Covid-19 vaccines from China and Norway.

300,000 doses of Sinovac were from the Chinese government while 286,080 doses of AstraZeneca were from Norway through COVAX facility.

As of now Uganda has administered a total number of 1, 152, 874 of COVID 19 vaccines.

Uganda aims at vaccinating at least 22million people.
