US Envoy Natalie Salutes Commitment Of Namboole COVID Treatment Unit Medics

The US Ambasaador to Uganda, Natalie E. Brown has praised the commitment of medics at the Namboole COVID Treatement Unit.

This was after a tour of the facicility where COVID patients are receiving treatment.

“Impressed by staff of Namboole COVID Treatment Unit, who are working under extremely trying circumstances to care for patients. I salute your commitment to help those in need. The USG remains committed to supporting the #COVID19 response in #Uganda & globally,” Ambassador Natalie said.

She added, “Namboole COVID Treatment Unit & its dedicated staff are equipped to care for moderate to severe cases, especially for those without home-based care. If you need treatment, seek it. Wash your hands, wear a mask, keep your distance, & get the jab!💉 Together we can beat COVID!”

The Ambassador later held talks with the Director General of Health Services, Henry Mwebesa on creating partnerships to fight COVID.

“@henrymwebesa and I also discussed the importance of partnerships in responding to #COVID19. Intl & local organizations, individuals, & institutions across #Uganda are working together. Thanks to @sheratonhotels Kampala for recognizing the public health workers at Namboole,” she said in a tweet.
