The US Ambasaador to Uganda, Natalie E. Brown has praised the commitment of medics at the Namboole COVID Treatement Unit.
This was after a tour of the facicility where COVID patients are receiving treatment.
“Impressed by staff of Namboole COVID Treatment Unit, who are working under extremely trying circumstances to care for patients. I salute your commitment to help those in need. The USG remains committed to supporting the #COVID19 response in #Uganda & globally,” Ambassador Natalie said.
She added, “Namboole COVID Treatment Unit & its dedicated staff are equipped to care for moderate to severe cases, especially for those without home-based care. If you need treatment, seek it. Wash your hands, wear a mask, keep your distance, & get the jab!đź’‰ Together we can beat COVID!”
The Ambassador later held talks with the Director General of Health Services, Henry Mwebesa on creating partnerships to fight COVID.
“@henrymwebesa and I also discussed the importance of partnerships in responding to #COVID19. Intl & local organizations, individuals, & institutions across #Uganda are working together. Thanks to @sheratonhotels Kampala for recognizing the public health workers at Namboole,” she said in a tweet.
