Two suspects in the Gen Katumba shooting that saw his daughter and driver killed have been remanded to Kitalya Prison, Ug Mirror reports.
The two suspects are believed to be part of the assailants behind the targeted drive-by shooting, that caused the double murder of Nantogo Brenda (Gen Wamala daughter) and Haruna Kayondo (Gen Wamala driver) and the attempted murder of Gen Katumba Wamala and his bodyguard Sgt Khalid Koboyoit.
The two suspects are Ssembuba Hussein Ismail and Nyanzi Yusufu Siraji who were charged with two separate counts of murder and two accounts of attempted murder before the Nakawa Chief Magistrate.
The suspects will return to court on August 03, 2021.
