Uganda Receives 175k AstraZeneca Doses

Uganda received an additional 175,200 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesdaynight.

The doses come at a time when the country is in the middle of a deadly second wave.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health revealed that 49 people had succumbed to the virus in 14th June.

The vaccines that arrived in Wednesday were donated by the French government.

Health Ministry officials say first priority will be given to those waiting for their second jabs.
