1 Mins read

Prime Ministet Designate, Robinah Nabbanja, has laughed off her critics saying they will be forced to swallow their words soon.

Last week, President Yoweri Museveni took many by surprise with the cabinet list he out that saw Nabbanja named incoming Premier.

Following her nomination for the post, some people have bashed the president’s decision saying she is not fit for the job.

However, Nabbanja says she is going to shock many with her work ethos, with uniting parliament and executive as her top priority.

“I’m going to make sure I strive to Unite the Executive and parliament. I am a team work person, so I won’t be working alone but with other cabinet ministers. Transparency is also a virtue I treasure and will work to see that ministers regularly update the country on what they are doing,” Nabbanja said.

As PM, Nabbanja will be the Head of Government Business.

“There needs to be a fundamental shift in the way societies view women in government, one that does not see them as mere seat-fillers or stats on a chart, We must be viewed as a vital contributing factor to the betterment of the world. I am here to better Uganda!” She added.
