While addressing the press on Tuesday, Lokech said security response to the incident was lacking but that they had reviewed the process and are working to ensure better.

On the fateful day, Katumba was attacked by unknown assailants riding on two motorbikes, a shooting that left his daughter and driver dead, with him nursing injuries.

He was in his car, a Land Cruiser V8 at the time of the incident.

He also revealed that they had received descriptions of the suspects and that thorough investigations are ongoing.

“I want to assure the public & the country at large that we are doing absolutely everything within our means, to find the perpetrators of the attack. Whoever was involved in the planning, preparation & execution of the double murder & attempted assassination will be tracked down,” he said.
