Museveni, First Lady Receive Second COVID-19 Jabs

President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady, Janet Museveni on Thursday received their second COVID-19 jabs.

The president and First Lady were vaccinated at State House, Nakasero.

Museveni used the occasion to warn the public and against consuming social media conspiracy theories on the pandemic and vaccine.

The Ministry of Health is carrying out mass vaccination against the virus.

This comes against a backdrop of a surge in the virus with the country registering 1083 cases on Thursday for the tests done on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the President met the COVID19 National Task force to discuss ways on how to respond to the surge.

Museveni is expected to address the nation on the way forward on Sunday.
