Somalia President., Kenya and Regional Delegations Jet In For Museveni Inauguration

Somalia President Mohammed Farmaajo is in the country to attend President-elect, Yoweri Museveni’s inauguration on Wednesday.

The Kenyan Amb. Raychelle Omamo, the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs together with Hon.James Wainaina Macharia, E.G.H the Cabinet Secretary for Transport also arrived this morning at the Entebbe Internarional Airport for the swearing-in ceremony of H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President elect.

The Delegation was welcomed by Amb. Alfred Nnam Head Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and H.E Julius Kiema Kilonzo the Kenyan High Commissioner to Uganda.

The Cabinet Secretaries arrived in advance of H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya and the Chairman of the East African Community (EAC) who will attend the official swearing-in ceremony on 12th May 2021.

Also, the Executive Secretary of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) Ambassador João Samuel Caholo, arrived this afternoon at the Entebbe Internarional Airport for the inauguration of Museveni.

The Executive Secretary was received by Amb. Alfred Nnam Head Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
