President Yoweir Museveni has praised the messages of Muslim Cleric Ismail ibn Musa Menk, also known as Mufti Menk.
Museveni said this after a meeting with the Mufti at Kyankwanzi State Lodge.
“Meeting the respectable @muftimenk at the state lodge in Kyankwanzi this evening. I am in agreement with his teachings on building bridges, harmony with Allah and mankind. Thank you for praying for me and the country. Aameen,” museveni tweeted after the meeting.
Mufti Menk was in company of Aya Group Chairman, Tycoon Mohammed Hamid as the party met in Kyankwanzi.
The Zimbabwe Grand Mufti has been in the country since Sunday and on Monday, spoke at an Iftar Dinner held at Pearl of Africa Hotel in Kampala.
Proceeds from the charity dinner are to go towards helping those on the fringes of society including orphans.
Tycoon Hamid is setting up a school for orphans.
