Ex-Police Chief Kayihura’s ADC Baroza Quietly Returns

ASP Jonathan Baroza, the man who was at the centre of Andrew Felix Kaweesi murder saga has been flown back into the country, sources say.

Baroza was the personal assistant of then IGP gen Kale Kayihura. Kaweesi was shot dead on 17 march 2017 near his home in Kulambiro, Nakawa division.

Baroza last appeared in public on that very dressed like forensic expert something that raised suspicion.

Because of the above controversy, Kayihura shuffled Baroza and sent him to Algeria as police attache.

However, he never reported to his new work station and fled to Canada where he thought asylum.

It has now emerged Baroza was flown back into the country a month ago on the instructions of President Yoweri Museveni.

The mission to bring back Baroza was accomplished by the no nonsesne Director General of ESO, Ambassador Joseph Ochwet.

Ochwet who spent most his time in the diaspora is a highly connected diplomat who has been behind the coming of home of Uganda’s dissidents living abroad.

It should noted Ochwet also brokered the return of Gen David Tinyenza from a self imposed exile in UK.

According to reports, on the orders Museveni, Ochwet flew to Toronto, Canada last month and held protracted negotiations with Baroza. After a few weeks , he returned with the dissident.

Baroza is currently staying at his home in Kisasi, waiting to meet Museveni.

He was given U$20k to settle down as he waits for the meeting.
