Some evil minded people have recently taken to circulating diabolical lies on social Media about Mr. Odrek Rwabwogo. It isn’t the first time they do this.

They have actually done it repeatedly only that many of us who know him do not think it keen advise to respond to these ignoramus lies given this would give a form of credibility to them.

We suspect some groups that have never met or not been in a training session with him, have a lopsided opinion about his work given the political perceptions and ramifications this carries. For example, at the start of political campaigns in 2020, many thought he was going to run in the NRM given his record with young people and his fight to rebuild the foundations of the NRM organization.

His message always centred on economy and building a national collective value system to keep Uganda stable and growing, seems to be instead misread often to mean ‘some deep political intentions’. Some of the groups even sent messages attacking him strangely saying “if he goes on air for a debate or in a political exchange, it will be hard to dislodge him. Therefore, smear him so much so he doesn’t get in at all”. Given all the speculation that has come to embody politics in the country, we know this gentleman is attacked for very wrong reasons always.

Those of us who know this man can attest to the public of the following about him for those who might be carried away by these lies:

1) He can never engage in the evil rubbish spoken about him, the kinds of things we do not even have time to repeat here. Only people who are scared of him ever getting into the political race are circulating these weird lies. We also suspect it must be the tribal groups and their talk that have come to signify some elements in the opposition who want to paint bad anyone who has some sense and they are associated with President Museveni. They think the way to win support with the people is to tell lies about others!

2) We know Odrek as a dairy and beef farmer and a businessman. All his businesses are clearly reported publicly for both employment and taxation. He is among the few people we know in the country whose business keeps singular books of accounts for audit and taxation purposes and he even practices real corporate responsibility by reaching out to youth on enterprise development.

He hides nothing at all. Why attack and tell lies about someone who is this open? His business is run by Ugandans of all shades and opinions and even more, he is a Uniter of groups, faith and age groups both in his views and his practices. He cares more, reflects deeper about his country and continent in a much more structured and philosophical way than many of his peers. To attack him in this manner therefore, can only be a witch hunt by those “worried” about the impact of his work on the future of our country.

3) Therefore all of those who have been seeing all the hate speeches depicted in images, audio, video online, please dismiss these as evil and shallow work of the enemies of some of those who represent some good values in our country.
