There has been an outpouring of grief and emotion on social media following the death of Lorita Asiimwe Blessy.
Lorita breathed her last on Monday after she was caught up in an accident that saw a city building’s roof cave in leaving close to eight people injured.
Uganda Christian University (UCU) has revealed that at the time of her death, Lorita was awaiting her graduation in July this.
“It is on a sad note that we announce the death of Asimwe Lorita Blessy, a final year student of Ba. Human Resource Management. She was one of the victims of the Fidodido building collapse yesterday. Lorita had gone for Lunch Hour Prayers and she was due to graduate in July, 2021,” the university posted on it’s social media platforms.
The building, along Kampala Road houses which Fidodido Restaurant and the House of Rest Church, was set up in the 1960s.
