Reopening of Schools In February Not Confirmed – Education Ministry

The Permanent Secretary of the ministry of education, Mr Alex Kakooza, has said that Government has not yet agreed upon the re-opening of schools and Higher Institutions of learning for non -candidate classes.

There had been reports that schools will reopen next month. He however, says, the public shall be informed when a decision is reached.

Schools have been closed since last March when the government announced a lock down to control the spread of coronavirus.
