National Unity Platform has released a video on their social media platforms showing how their presidential candidate, Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi was arrested by counter terrorism police in Luuka district.
In the Video, Bobi wine is seen pleading to the police to be no violent in their attempt to arrest him.
According to National Unity Platform, the operation of arresting Bobi Wine was headed by a police officer whom they identified as Frank Mwesigwa.
“Under the command of frank Mwesigwa, police is arresting hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert in Luuka,” reads the tweet on NUP Timeline.
In the Video, someone is heard echoing Mwesigwa in regards to the brutal arrest of Bobi Wine.
“Mwesigwa, how do you push a presidential candidate like that,” unidentified person is heard shouting in the video.
According to National Unity platform, before the arrest, there was firing of teargas and live bullets.
“We are under Police and Military attack in Luuka! Live bullets and teargas been fired directly to the people by the men in uniform,” reads the tweet.
Bobi Wine has since been whisked away to unknown location.
