Protests Rock Kampala As Bobi Wine is Arrested

Protests have rocked Kampala city after the arrest of National Unity Platform President, Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine.

The affected areas in Kampala are Downtown, Kisseka Market, Kireka, Ntinda, Kyaliwajala and other suburbs.

Police and Military have fired teargas and live bullets to disperse the rioters.

Rioters have been seen burning tyres and blocking several roads in the city centre and other suburbs.

Information circulating on social media indicates that so far people have died in these riots.

Uganda Police is yet to come out with a statement on the riots.
