Bantariza Was A Dedicated Cadre — Museveni

President Museveni has praised the fallen deputy Executive Director of the Uganda Media Centre as a dedicated cadre that the country will greatly miss.

The deceased was pronounced dead on Tuesday morning after succumbing to Coronavirus disease on Sunday.

In a condolence message issued, the president described the late as a dedicated cadre who worked for Uganda’s liberation and development.

“I received the sad news of the death of Col. Shaban Bantariza, the Deputy Government Spokesperson. He was a dedicated cadre who worked for Uganda’s liberation and development,” Museveni said.

The president also added that the late was eloquent as he spoke for the UPDF and government.

Meanwhile, according to the burial program released by the UPDF, the late Col Bantariza is to be laid to rest at his ancestral home Kagorogoro village, Ruhinda County, Mitooma district on Thursday.

According to a statement from the UPDF spokesperson’s office, the burial is to be scientific with a very limited number of mourners comprising mostly family members.
