It is Either Me With the NRM Flag Or Nobody — Minister Opendi

1 Mins read

Tororo District Woman MP Sarah Opendi has said that its either her as the NRM Flag bearer or nobody.

She revealed this after her rival was declared winner in the recent NRM petitions.

She has accused NRM officials in Tororo district of colluding to declare her rival in last month’s party primaries the flagbearer yet she lost.

According to Opendi, NRM Electoral Commission has been compromised and if no immediate interventions are made, she will announce her next course of action.

“Two electoral offices in Tororo are aware that these results have not been added and they went ahead to declare Ayo Jacinta with just one side of the district as the flag bearer,” charged Opendi before adding that;

“I am therefore here to express my displeasure with the actions of the Electoral Commission. The chairman Electoral Commission, Tanga Odoi knows very well what is going on in Tororo and he is part and partial of this manipulation to ensure that I don’t carry the NRM flag even when he knows that I actually won.

“We hope that this matter will be resolved and if it is not resolved in time, I will tell you the next step but there will be no flag bearer. It is either me or nobody.”
