1 Mins read

This morning the Managing Director of UBC Maurice Mugisha, shared that some of his staff tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the statement that has now been released, UBC has 10 COVID-19 cases from 160 results out of 322 samples that were taken on 21st August from the Kampala office.

UBC will continue to operate with a high level of commitment towards the guidelines that the Ministry of Health has provided to curb the spread of the virus amongst the staff.

UBC is now the sixth media house to confirm COVID-19 cases at their premises after NBS, NTV, BBS, Vision group and Radio Pacis in Arua confirmed cases at their offices as well.

Uganda currently has 2,426 confirmed cases, 1,267 recoveries and 25 COVID-19 deaths.

Although it was rumored that another lockdown would be coming up, the Minister of Health yesterday disputed all those rumors and said that together with the National COVID-19 task force is working to come up with other measures of handling the situation.
