Police has detained Inspector of Police Luben Ngasaki of Wandegeya police station and his son Walter Mumbere.
On Sunday 23rd, Mumbere put on his father’s uniform while his father was away at work.
He went on to move out of the house and while drunk and started making uncoordinated statements which made people realise that he wasn’t a police man.
Mumbere has been charged with possession of government stores while his father has been charged with neglect of duty since he failed to protect government property.
According to Kampala Metropolitan area spokesperson Patrick Onyango, IP Ngasaki will appear in disciplinary court while his son will appear in criminal court.
In the mean time, the two are being held at the Wandegeya Police station as they await court.
