Police Officers Brutalise Two as They Impose Curfew in Bukoto

1 Mins read

Last night, Nelly Kalema and a woman who are residents of Bukoto 2 parish in Nakawa Division were brutalized by police as Kalema tried to get the lady to a hospital.

According to Kalema or at least a post on People Power’s Spokesperson, Joel Ssenyonyi’s facebook account, last night at about 9pm, as he (Kalema) was rushing a lady to hospital on his motorbike, two police officers on a police bike intercepted them and beat the woman with a baton. Nelly lost balance and both fell, leaving him injured.

Over the past few months, many people have been gravely brutalized by Police, Local Defence Unit (LDU), and Military officers under the guise of imposing the curfew directives by President Museveni.

Because of this, many have been left fighting for their lives in hospital and some have actually succumbed to these acts of recklessness by the same people that are supposed to keep us sake.
