Over the weekend, over 40 revelers were arrested by police for disobeying the presidential directives on lockdown and engaging in activities that don’t support social distancing as well as enjoying life in bars across the country.
Yesterday, Police in Nansana carried out an operation arresting over 30 people. Police say, the 30 were found enjoying the sauna, lodge services and booze, all banned under the presidential directive which was put in place, in a bid to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
Another group of people, including tourists where arrested at Que Pasa, a Mexican bar and restaurant in Kisementi yesterday. These were found smoking, and drinking beer. Moreover, there was no social distancing being observed, and the bar was also at full sitting capacity.
