Thieves Break Into Police Station, Steal Computer, TV

1 Mins read

Thieves have broken into a Ghanaian police station and stolen a computer monitor, TV and police shirts.

The thieves broke into one of the offices of the Nima police station in the heart of the capital Accra in a dawn raid on Thursday.

The authorities have started investigations but have not arrested anyone yet.

The incident has shocked many as a police officer is normally assigned to guard the station.

But authorities told the BBC that at the time of the break-in officers were instead guarding the building where weapons are kept and suspects are detained.
